Royal Borough of Kingston
The Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames is a borough in south-west London. It is one of only two London Boroughs to be designated a "Royal Borough", the other being the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.
The main town in the borough, Kingston upon Thames, has existed on the banks of the River Thames for many hundreds, if not thousands of years. Many Roman relics have also been found in the surrounding areas.
Kingston still has a monument, the Coronation Stone, on which the monarchs were said to have actually been crowned. A coin from the reign of each of the monarchs crowned is set into the base of the stone, which now stands outside the local council offices, the Guildhall.

The Royal Borough of Kingston employs approximately 4,800 employees and has a Pension payroll of in excess of 3,000 ex employees, the Royal Borough of Kingston has been in receipt of an outsourced payroll solution since 1999 via WS Atkins and using Selima Payroll Software since 2002.
In 2004, WS Atkins took the decision to re-focus on their core business aims which did not include their outsourced payroll business. As the Royal Borough of Kingston were keen to continue dealing with the same staff and were equally keen to continue to use the Selima Software that had proved so successful for them thus far, WS Atkins approached Selima to take over the payroll bureau business. This ultimately resulted in the formation of Selima Bureau Services, with the staff from WS Atkins transferring to Selima Bureau Services in April 2004.
Since then, Selima have continued to provide the Royal Borough of Kingston with a Fully Managed Payroll Service, utilising the Vision HR and E forms software, as well as providing Envoy Central, which allows Royal Borough of Kingston staff to process mileage and expenses claims internally before authorising Selima to make the payments.
