Selima celebrates official opening of its Sheffield Service Centre with local MP
Local MP Clive Betts officially opened Selima’s new service centre on Europa Green, Sheffield Business Park at 10:00 AM on Monday 5th September. Mr Betts declared the office open for business by unveiling a plaque to commemorate the event.
Clive Betts, South East Sheffield MP said: “I am delighted to be taking part in the opening of these offices which help this successful company expand even further.
It is pleasing to see that new jobs are being created in my constituency despite the challenging economic conditions. In addition, the site of this new development has particular significance for me as I have been involved in its regeneration since the 1990s.”
Selima moved the existing 30 strong workforce into the building during August, and has already boosted this number by recruiting 10 new people for its new payroll service team. Plans are in place to double the team during 2012 as the managed service side of the business grows.
Earlier this year Selima, which specialises in providing customised payroll software and managed service solutions to the public sector, invested £1 million, in new and improved office space in Sheffield that will become a central hub for its payroll focused business. The property purchase, which has been supported by NatWest Bank, has allowed Selima to enhance its provision of the high quality, highly responsive service that organisations require from a service partner, particularly regarding an essential function such as payroll.
Mr Kinnell continued: “We are thrilled to be able to open our new service centre on the business park and offer jobs to people in the local community. The financial climate remains hard, but this investment signals our commitment to deliver payroll software and managed services to our customers throughout the UK for many years to come.
The facilities on offer at the business park are second to none, and offer excellent connectivity and accessibility for both staff and customers”.
The new office is a brand new building and offers over 6,000 sq. ft. of air conditioned space, and ensures ample floor space for the upcoming expansion of the business. Boasting a custom designed interior, the building offers high quality presentation and meeting facilities as well as market leading office facilities for employees.
